What will you see on your tour?
If your are reaching out from The Adopt A Cow Program, please email kayleeh@oakridgedairy.com to schedule your class tour. The Adopt A Cow Program will have a slightly different tour and group tours have different pricing as well as scheduling options.
The public tour schedule:
Our first tour will begin at 9 am. and the second tour will begin at 11 am! We ask that you please arrive 10 minutes before your tour start time. We will leave on the hour. If you arrive after the tour bus leaves you will not be refunded for tardiness and we will not pick you up.Please arrive at 76 Jobs Hill Road in Ellington, CT. You can park right next to the bus and get on the bus when you arrive. Your tour guide will meet you on the bus. We will start at the Oakridge offices and then head to the dairy! The tour should last about an hour to an hour and fifteen depending on how many questions you all have.This means the 9 am tour should wrap up around 10-10:15 am and the 11 am tour should wrap up around 12-12:15 pm. The amount of questions on the tour will greatly affect tour time frame.To finish the tour we will circle back to the Oakridge Offices and drop you off where you started.You are on the bus for much of the tour. We only get off the bus once to watch the cows get milked and taste some DELICIOUS milk.
We recommend you dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. We will get off the bus one time and walk up and down one flight of stairs.
