
At Hobbs House Bakery, patience and passion are baked into every loaf. Using time-honoured techniques like overnight fermentation, they craft handmade bread and confectionery with care, ensuring a deeper flavour and a perfect rise.The heart of their bakery is a 68-year-old sourdough starter, lovingly fed daily and responsible for creating countless loaves of true sourdough – and inspiring home bakers nationwide.Sustainability is also on the menu. By reducing plastic in their packaging, switching to eco-friendly materials, and working to minimise waste, Hobbs House is proving that great bread and planet-friendly practices go hand in hand. So far, they’ve saved 228kg of plastic by swapping to cardboard inserts for mince pies, cut down plastic in their branded bags by 28%, and reduced wrapped products sent out by 3.6%. Proof that small changes make a big difference!
We work with real farmers and a network of independent suppliers who provide fresh groceries. This allows us to keep supply chains short, treat everyone fairly and reduce unnecessary waste.
