Bates was founded in 1939 by Edward and Elsie Bates and has been family for three generations. They're fully committed to reducing carbon emissions, investing in solar power and entering a climate change agreement with the environment agency. All their milk comes from within a 20-mile radius, and they reuse their glass bottles up to 50 times. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
